When you install the Microsoft OneDrive sync app for Mac, a copy of your OneDrive is downloaded to your Mac and put in the OneDrive folder. To do that, click on the dark cloud icon at the top of your screen: Note: If you do not see a grey cloud icon on your taskbar, you may have to launch OneDrive by opening the Launchpad and clicking on OneDrive. You may get an error message saying the verification didn’t work, but we found reloading the page got rid of it and the vault was open. Enter the code and return to the original screen and the vault should be open, as seen below. You can always go to the same menu in OneDrive and select or remove folders from Mac.
Most of the time people skip personal folders during setup and keep the work OneDrive Folder to sync with Mac. You will then be asked to submit either a phone number or alternative email address where a special code can be sent. You can go to Settings> Account> Select Folder and select the option OneDrive Folders you want to sync with Mac. When you click “Next”, a new window, tab or pop-up will open where you will be prompted to enter your password.
